BUENOS AIRES

How I almost didn’t travel this year... ;) I went to Buenos Aires the last week. Don’t worry, the real reason was that with 2 friends, we are analyzing a business possibility.

Como casi no he viajado este año… ;) fui a Buenos Aires la semana pasada. No se preocupen que la verdadera razón fue que con 2 amigos analizando una opción de negocio.

The travel began with a “shock experience”, when a friend (which name I will not reveal to protect him), suffered a panic reaction. He had an “AVIANCA 87” experience, when he was child. I was very bad… because when I saw him I can’t believe his phobia and I can’t stop to laugh. I will go to the hell…

El viaje empezó con una “experiencia traumática”, cuando un amigo (cuyo nombre no voy a revelar para protegerlo), sufrió una reacción de pánico. El tuvo una experiencia “AVIANCA 87” cuando era chico. Fui una mala… porque cuando lo vi, no podía creer su fobia y no paraba de reírme. Me voy a ir al infierno…

Anyway, after that Argentina’s capital received us. I had never been there. It is a huge city, very beautiful and fashion. Our activities were: shopping and eating. Of course, we knew some places, mainly restaurant and pubs…
Really we work too, I hope announce you soon our business.

En fin, después la capital de Argentina nos recibió. Yo nunca había ido. Es una ciudad enorme, muy linda y full moda. Nuestras actividades fueron: vitrinear y comer. Por supuesto conocimos algunos lugares, principalmente restaurant y pubs… En verdad también trabajamos, espero anunciarles pronto nuestro negocio.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHILE

We have a really long weekend, with five holiday days. Santiago is almost empty!
It is the best opportunity to share a barbecue and play different games.

Tenemos un fin de semana realmente largo, con 5 días feriados. Santiago está casi vacío! Así es que es la mejor ocasión para compartir un asado y jugar distintas cosas.

Yesterday I enjoy a family barbecue at Caleu. The weather was a little cold… some chilly wind, but the day was so beautiful; and very good to fly kites, boomerangs and spinning top.

Ayer disfrutamos de un asado familiar en Caleu. El clima estaba un poco frío… un poco de viento helado, pero el día estaba precioso; y muy bueno para elevar volantines, boomerangs y trompos.

La primera semana pude ir a ver a la Caro antes que se fuera a Francia. Y compartir un típico tecito con otras amigas. Buena suerte Caro en su aventura! Olvídate de tus maletas.

And after that, uffffff, almost every day I have lunch, dinner, tea, birthday or different kinds of social events. Ex-office mates, school friends, university friends, family…

Y después de eso, uffffff, casi todos los días tengo almuerzo, comida, té, cumpleaños o diferentes tipos de eventos sociales. Excompañeros de oficina, amigas de colegio y universidad, familia…

Soon we will change to a new house. The apartment is almost ready. I have nearly everything there.

Luego nos cambiaremos a una nueva casa. El departamento está casi listo. Yo tengo casi todo allá.

The plot is so beautiful. It visited it twice the last weeks. The trees are wonderful and the "little house" is not really small now.

La parcela está preciosa. He ido 2 veces en estas semanas. Los árboles están preciosos y la "casita" no es realmente chica ahora.

The only problem that I have is the weather. I am a little sick now… Please spring, begin now!

El único problema que tengo es el clima. Estoy un poco enferma ahora… por favor primavera, empieza ahora!

TERRIBLE JET LAG - 14 HOURS

On Saturday I left Sydney and flied to Auckland, New Zealand. I was very tired… the last week I almost didn’t sleep! And had too much baggage (more than 40 kilos, fortunately I could leave one suitcase at the airport), so I decided to spent just 1 day in this country. I wanted to know the black sheep…

El sábado me fui de Sydney y volé a Auckland, Nueva Zelanda. Estaba super cansada… la última semana casi no dormí! Y tenía demasiado equipaje (más de 40 kilos, por suerte pude dejar una maleta en el aeropuerto), así es que decidí pasar sólo 1 día por ese país. Quería conocer a la oveja negra…

That country is very different to Australia, is smaller and quieter, but very beautiful too. And I don’t like Kiwis. They kept my boomerangs at airport, because they were dangerous to the rest of passengers. I believe that I don’t look like Osama… anyway sorry Diego, you don’t have souvenir… but I will try to recover them.

Ese país es muy distinto a Australia, es más chico y tranquilo, pero muy lindo también. Pero no me gustaron los Neocelandeses. Me quitaron mis boomerangs en el aeropuerto, porque eran peligrosos para los demás pasajeros. Creo que no me parezco a Osama… en fin, perdón Diego, porque te quedaste sin regalo… pero voy a tratar de recuperarlos.

And on Sunday it was my last departure. Incredible! After 11 flies, I finally came back home.
I boarded the aircraft in Auckland at 5.00 PM and after 10 hours I arrived in Chile before! At 11.30 AM. I recovered the day that I miss when I went to Sydney. I had never had April 5.

El domingo fue mi última partida. Increíble! Después de 11 vuelos, finalmente volvía a mi casa.
Tomé el avión en Auckland a las 5.00 PM y después de 10 horas llegué a Chile antes! A las 11.30 AM. Recuperé el día que había perdido cuando fui a Sydney. Nunca tuve 5 de abril.

I almost didn’t sleep, I was very excited with the idea to see everybody again. The whole family had lunch together!

Casi no dormí, estaba muy emocionada con la idea de verlos a todos de nuevo. Almorzamos toda la familia junta!

It was very, very good. But at night jet lag effect began… at 10.00 PM I just put my head on my pillow and I died, and of course at 5.00 AM I woke up with a hole in the stomach. I was VERY HUNGRY! And later, at 2.00 PM I must sleep.

Estuvo muy bueno. Pero en la noche empezó el efecto jet lag… a las 10.00 PM solo puse la cabeza en la almohada y morí, y por supuesto desperté a las 5.00 AM con un hoyo en el estómago. Tenía MUCHA HAMBRE! Y después, a las 2.00 PM tuve que dormir.

Jet lag is terrible. I feel hungry and sleepy every time. This was the reason because I didn’t tell you about my return. But now I am ready to go everywhere, I am enjoying the unemployed life. I hope have a new job soon…

Jet lag es atroz. Siento hambre y sueño todo el día. Esa fue la razón por la que no les conté que volvía. Pero ahora estoy lista para ir donde sea, estoy disfrutando mi vida de desempleada. Espero tener un nuevo trabajo pronto…

This blog will not disappear, but I think that my life will be less amusing. Or maybe not, I hope so!

Este blog no va a desaparecer, pero pienso que mi vida va a ser menos entretenida. O quizás no, espero!

Friday was my last day in Sydney. The city that received me the last months. It was the last choice to enjoy it!

El viernes fue mi último día en Sydney. La ciudad que me recibió los últimos meses. Era la última oportunidad de disfrutarla!

I shared a lunch with Cata González. It was excellent, thank you very much, great risotto. Then I went to LAN office to reemit my ticket. I waited 2 and a half hour!!! So I couldn’t go to the school to say the last “good bye” to my ex-mates. So sorry!!!

Almorcé con la Cata González. Estuvo excelente, muchas gracias, espectacular risotto. Luego fui a la oficina de LAN para reemitir mis pasajes. Esperé 2 horas y media!!! Así es que no pude ir a la escuela a despedirme de mis excompañeros. Perdón!!!

At night we went to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate my last night. Nice dinner. It was raining, but I think that we enjoyed it a lot. Finally we returned to the flat and I finished to close my suitcases. Really strange, because definitively I should leave this wonderful city. I hope come back in the future.

En la noche fuimos a un restaurant Mexicano a celebrar mi última noche. Rica comida. Estaba lloviendo, pero pienso que lo disfrutamos un montón. Finalmente volvimos al departamento y terminé de cerrar mis maletas. Realmente raro, porque definitivamente me iría de esa espectacular ciudad. Espero volver en el futuro.

In the apartment, I was almost ready to sleep and… I didn’t find my passport. It was a stress minute, but it was in the pocket of important things! So sorry Lilo, although you avenged later with the Malaria pills…

En el depto, estaba casi lista para dormir y… no encontraba mi pasaporte. Fue un minuto de stress, pero estaba en el bolsillo de las cosas importantes! Perdona Lilo, aunque después te vengaste con las pastillas de la Malaria…

On Saturday Maida went with me to the airport. Fortunately, because I had too much baggage… And at 10.00 we said good bye… a little sad minute, but excellent memories!!!

El sábado la Maida fue conmigo al aeropuerto. Por suerte, porque tenía demasiadas maletas… Y a las 10.00 nos despedimos… un minuto un poco triste, pero excelentes recuerdos!!!

BALLOON TRIP

3.30 AM the alarm clock rang...
The bus picked up us at 4.30, because we needed to go a place near Cairns to our adventure.
It was great! I hadn't feel afraid. Just enjoy the sights...

3.30 AM sono la alarma del reloj...
El bus nos pasaba a buscar a las 4.30, porque necesitabamos ir a un lugar cerca de Cairns para nuestra aventura.
Estuvo genial! No senti miedo. Solo disfrute de las vistas...

We fly around 30 minutes and when we were landing we saw kangaroos!!! Little kangaroos jumping...

We ended with a spectacular breakfast, where we ate everything!

Volamos como 30 minutos y cuando aterrizamos vimos canguros!!! Canguritos saltando...

Terminamos con un desayuno espectacular, donde nos comimos todo!

GREAT BARRIER REEF

Today I woke up early in the morning because I visited the great barrier reef. I had a wonderful day, the weather was spectacular! Amazing sights, beautiful landscapes, nice people, good food and better gear than in Malaysia... The snorkeling today was much more easier than in Malaysia. I could coordinate. I didn't drink sea water!!!

Hoy me levanté temprano en la mañana porque fui a la gran barrera de coral. Tuve un día increíble, el clima estaba espectacular! Fantásticas vistas, preciosos paisajes, gente simpática, comida rica y mejor equipo que en Malasia... El snorkel fue mucho más fácil hoy que en Malasia. Me pude coordinar. No tome agua de mar!!!

The great barrier reef is so beautiful. A lot of colorful and cute different kinds of fish. However one scared me, because was very big and too near me...

La gran barrera de coral es muy bonita. Miles de diferentes tipos de peces, coloridos y tiernos. Sin embargo uno me asustó, porque era muy grande y demasiado cerca mío...

Now I will go to eat something. After a lot of exercise swimming in the sea, I think that is fair have a BIG DINNER!

Ahora voy a ir a comer algo. Después de mucho ejercicio nadando en el mar, pienso que es justo una GRAN COMIDA!

SOME HOURS IN SYDNEY

And now at Cairns. I traveled 3 days... first Malaysia to Singapore, then Singapore to Sydney and finally Sydney to Cairns. Of course, the first night I slept like 12 hours...
My hostal is TOP, great change between Malaysian and Aussies accomodations. Big difference in prices too!

Y ahora en Cairns. Viaje 3 dias... primero de Malasia a Singapur, despues Singapur a Sydney y finalmente Sydney a Cairns. Por supuesto, la primera noche dormi como 12 horas...
My hostal es TOP, gran cambio entre los alojamientos Malayos y Australianos. Enorme diferencia de precios tambien!

The last day en Singapore I bought an IPOD, but Coni said that it was not important. The most important was my skin color. This is the reason of that picture...

El ultimo dia en Singapur me compre un IPOD, pero la Coni decia que eso no era importante. Lo mas importante era el color de mi piel. Esa es la razon se esa foto...

Anyway, the time in Asia finished... when I left these continent I felt a strange feeling in my stomach. Maybe it means a lot of things... it is the finish of a period. Soon I will not in Asia again, I hope come back one day. Coni is there, my "house" in Singapore, my family for some weeks...

En fin, termino mi tiempo en Asia... cuando deje ese continente senti un extragno sentimiento en mi estomago. Quizas significan demasiadas cosas... es el final de un periodo. No estare pronto en Asia denuevo, espero volver algun dia. La Coni esta ahi, mi "casa" en Singapur, mi familia por unas semanas...

PARADISE BEACH

These are the Perhentian Islands, the east coast of Malaysia. You must go at least once in your life... In two words S-PECTACULAR!

Estas son las Islas Perhentians, en la costa este de Malasia. Tienen que ir al menos una vez en la vida… en dos palabras ES-PECTACULAR!

One day we did snorkeling. Of course with my coordination problems, the first minutes I drank a half of the sea, but then I could and saw amazing things, like nemos, BIG turtles, reef and several fish.

Un día hicimos snorkel. Por supuesto, con mis problemas de coordinación, los primeros minutos me tragué la mitad del mar, pero después pude ver cosas preciosas, como nemos, tortugas GIGANTES, coral y varios peces.

Another day we walked a little and cross to the other side of the island. The middle of the island is a really jungle! We needed to put a lot of repellent, because is full of different kinds of insects and mosquitoes, who sting you.

Otro día caminamos un poco y cruzamos al otro lado de la isla. La mitad de la isla es una verdadera jungla! Necesitamos echarnos mucho repelente, porque está lleno de diferentes tipos de insectos y mosquitos, que te pican.

Beautiful beaches and a lot of sun!!! Luck my skin, I didn’t recognize myself the first days… And you haven’t worries about anything! Or maybe some things… like… choose the lunch… or decide if you want to swim in the sea… or when you put cream again.
Definitively relax and enjoy! And the landscape is wonderful.

Preciosas playas y mucho sol!!! Miren mi piel, no me reconocía los primeros días…Y no tienes ninguna preocupación! O quizás algunas cosas… como… elegir el almuerzo… o decidir si es que te quieres bañar en el mar… o cuando te echas crema de nuevo.
Definitivamente relajarse y disfrutar! Y el paisaje era maravilloso.

But everything has an end, and we left it the last Saturday. And I said good bye to Dani too. I came back to Singapore, my last day at Asia.

Pero todo tiene un final, y nos fuimos el sábado pasado. Y le dije chao a la Dani también. Volví a Singapur, mi último día en Asia.

NOW AT CAMERON HIGHLAND

When we arrived to Cameron Highlands, it was terrible! We were very tired, because the bus trip was long and the seats were not the best… We arrived more or less at 4.00 PM and the town looked like dead. A small town, the weather was a little cold, we walked around the town searching a hostal and everywhere was full, so we finish in the first room that we saw… and the restaurant that we chose to have lunch was not good. In the evening rained, so we hadn’t another option to drink some “juice” in our room.

Cuando llegamos a Cameron Highlands, fue terrible! Estábamos super cansadas, porque el viaje en bus fue largo y los asientos no eran de lo mejor… llegamos más o menos a las 4.00 PM y el pueblo se veía muerto. Un pueblo enano, el clima estaba frío, caminamos buscando un hostal y todo estaba lleno, así es que terminamos en la primera pieza que vimos… y el restaurant que elegimos para almorzar no era bueno. En la tarde se puso a llover, así es que no quedó otra opción que tomarnos un “juguito” en la pieza.

But the next day we took the daily tour. It’s included visit the tea plantations, a butterflies farm and finally know the biggest flower in the world. Do you know the size? One meter of diameter!!! Really huge.

Pero al día siguiente tomamos el tur diario. Este incluía una visita a las plantaciones de té, la granja de mariposas y finalmente conocer la flor más grande del mundo. Saben de qué porte es? Un metro de diámetro!!! Realmente enorme.

An Indian guy picked up us in a four wheel drive. Nobody else was in our tour, we had a private guide. The first thing that I saw inside the car was a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig knife. With Dani kidded about it, because it was like a weapon… And immediately he changed the CD and the first song was “Pretty Woman”!

Un indio nos pasó a buscar en un 4x4. Nadie más estaba en nuestro tur, teníamos guía privado. La primera cosa que veo dentro del auto fue un graaaaaaaan cuchillo. Con la Dani bromeamos al respecto, porque parecía un arma… e inmediatamente cambio el CD y la primera canción era “Pretty Woman”!

Butterflies farm looked very poor, but inside was beautiful. There were some insects and reptiles and a lot of flowers and butterflies. Even you could take its (we though they were drug).

La granja de mariposas se veía bien pobre, pero adentro era preciosa. Tenía insectos y reptiles y un montón de flores y mariposas. Incluso podías tomarlas (pensamos que estaban drogadas).

Then we went to the tea plantation. The weather was not the best, but it was wonderful. They produce BOH* tea, only black tea (no green tea). The factory was very simple, with old machinery and a snack bar… of course we seized to enjoy a cup of tea with a chocolate cake.

Después fuimos a la plantación de té. El clima no era el mejor, pero era maravilloso. Ellos producen el BOH* té, sólo té negro (no té verde). La fábrica era super simple, con maquinaria antigua y una cafetería… por supuesto aprovechamos de disfrutar una taza de té con una torta de chocolate.

And finally the main reason of our tour, the biggest flower!!! But we didn’t know that you needed to walk 1 and a half hour with another one guide with a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig knife too. We were afraid, two girls against two boys with knives… so, we decided that even if the flower was the biggest in the world, we didn’t want that it was the last thing that we saw in our life, so I used my actresses talents and suddenly had a stomachache.

Y finalmente la razón principal del tur, la flor gigante!!! Pero no sabíamos que teníamos que caminar 1 hora y media con otro guía con un cuchillo gigaaaaaaante también. Nos asustamos, dos mujeres contra dos hombres con cuchillos… así es que decidimos que incluso si es que era la flor más grande del mundo, no queríamos que fuera la última cosa que viéramos en nuestras vidas, así es que usé todos mis dotes de actriz y repentinamente me dio dolor de guata.

He knew that we were afraid and tried to encourage us, but doesn’t work. I think he is a good person, but nobody knows. How we didn’t go to the jungle, he took us to other beautiful places. Even without flower, the tour was successful!

Él se dio cuenta que estábamos asustadas y trató de animarnos, pero no resultó. Yo creo que es una buena persona, pero nadie sabe. Como no fuimos a la jungla, nos llevó a otros lugares preciosos. Incluso sin flor, el tur fue un éxito!

BY TRAIN TO KUALA LUMPUR

We take the train at Singapore and after a long trip we arrived in Kuala Lumpur.
Probably most of you don't know this city. It is the capital of Malaysia and here are the Petronas towers. They were the highest in the world before 2001. We didn't go up, because they give tickets only in the morning... and we were there at 12:00 ;)

Tomamos el tren en Singapur y después de un largo viaje llegamos a Kuala Lumpur.
Probablemente la mayoría de ustedes no conozca esta ciudad. Es la capital de Malasia y acá están las torres Petronas. Eran las más altas del mundo hasta el 2001. No subimos, porque los tickets los entregaban en la mañana... y llegamos a las 12:00 ;)

Kuala Lumpur is a very modern city! with a mix of differents cultures, Indian, Chinese and Malaysian. They have a monorail, huge buildings, temples, markets and a lot of malls. And people is very different.

Kuala Lumpur es una ciudad muy moderna! con una mezcla de diferentes culturas, india, china y malaya. Tienen monoriel, enormes edificios, templos, mercados y muchos malls. Y la gente es muy distinta.

We walked non stop, more than 9 hours and we didn't even had lunch! We just ate some fruits and plenty drinks, because the hot is terrible!!! We were in Little India, the business area, several temples and finally in China Town. Incredible market! We spend like 2 hours and just visited the middle... We finished so tired and go out to had dinner, because we were very hungry. Unfortunatelly we chose a wrong restaurant, Libanese food... My fish even had eyes...

Caminamos sin parar, más de 9 horas e incluso no almorzamos! Sólo comimos algunas frutas y mucho líquido, porque el calor era terrible!!! Estuvimos en Little India, el área de negocios, varios templos y al final en China town. Increible el mercado! Estuvimos como 2 horas y recorrimos sólo la mitad... Terminamos super cansadas y salimos a comer, porque estabamos muertas de hambre. Desafortunadamente no le achuntamos a restaurant. comida libanesa... mi pescado hasta tenia ojos...
